![]() 19226 forum posts 749 photos 86 articles | I picked up a reasonable set of mini-'mole' grips at lidl the other day, normal, long nose and one with the 'square' jaws for reaching around a flange. The latter works really well for clamping the drill vice to the table and more flexible than my usual big bolt. Also, mini-humidifiers (proper refrigerating ones) that might suit a small and slightly damp workshop. Neil |

![]() 6137 forum posts 893 photos | If you keep the receipt you will have at least a 12 month and often a 3 year guarantee with any tools from places like Lidl and Aldi If it breaks you take it back in when you buy a pint of milk and they hand you your dosh back, no quibbles Their entry level stuff can be good for newbies, I never dreamed of being able to weld, ever, but 40 quid for a box and a 5 quid pack of rods introduced me to gluing metal together They had sets of ring and open spanners last week, a fiver for each, so a tenner for a full set of ring and open spanners A packet of fags costs a tenner nowadays Edited By Ady1 on 16/06/2015 08:59:08 |

![]() 6137 forum posts 893 photos | Got the angle grinder and a couple of packs of disks for 27 bananas today I already had the grinder stand from last year so I put it all together and chopped some metal up in moments which made a nice change from the usual tedium of hacksaw work If I blow it up in the next 3 years I'll take it back and get my money back The quality for a mere 20quid is pretty impressive(so far...) |

Very handy for anyone contemplating a power drawbar for a mill.
Most of the kits are air powered and having to run a compressor for the odd one off tool change is noisy and wasteful. For £30 you can't go wrong |

I bought a couple of sets of these about 2 years back, they get used and abused and haven't broken yet |

Best buys have been chain saw sharpener £30 and 60 ltr vaccum cleaner with integral power socket for power tools. Never bought spanners due to earlier mishap with a cheap one only buy top quality ones now. Hugh |
