Lives in Teesside UK, Retired Maint. Engineer, Likes model steam engines,RC ships, not keen on aircraft (seen a couple crash on first flight!)

Not new to ME. but havent done any for years due to work contracts etc., then involved with NVQ/SVQ development, assessments & verification internationally & latterly UK offshore. Now retired have the time to focus more hence upgrading equipment. would like to meet up with others in the local area (Marton, Boro' area) to establish contact for sharing ideas, help / assistance. Still looking to start a 'project' seem to be always pottering with stuff to make stuff''

Have started on first project... 'Simple oscillating engine' from plans downloaded from t'internet, finding it funny working with small stuff, so used to large turbines, pumps, gearboxes etc. Still making stuff to make stuff with though
