Very nice job Neil. Serious question, if I may. Does all the bright white lettering in front of the lens make a measurable difference to image contrast/quality? I'm sure some contrast-obsessives go over them in black sharpie. I would guess they are low down enough for virtually all the light to be reflected off the front of the lens and any left would hit the internal baffle. More noticeable are the letters reflecting in the dew shield. This means a coat of heatproof black paint is needed over the anodising. Neil |

Nice work Neil, Is, or are the lens' APO as the ring suggests? Ed. Not strictly, it's an ED doublet and no doublet can be truly apochromatic, but its performance is closer to a true Apo than an ordinary achromat - Skywatcher are bit cheeky, most scope builders call them 'semi achromatic'. Neil

Excellent work - will we be seeing the output on the Astro images? That's the plan all along! I have a telephoto lens the same focal length that frames things well, but has too much chromatic aberration. This scope should be great for larger objects Neil |
