Degree 1971 was in Psychology/Philosophy - both subjects now largely abandoned.
Developed interest in engineering early 1970s. Machine operator 1973-4, SkillCentre course 1974-5, shop floor work to 1978.
Industrial Engineer/Tool Designer 1978 - 1981.
MRP/ERP/manufacturing computer systems implementation and business analysis 1983 - 2015
- Experience of IMPCON, EFACS, InfoFlo, Oracle 11i, Cimpac, SAP Business One to Release 9.2.
Volunteer machinist for heritage steam railway 2016 - date.
I now have a Sieg C0 'Baby' lathe and a Warco WM250V, additionally with a Myford double-swivel vertical slide retained from Myford Speed 10 (ML10 late variant) owned previously from 2000. Prior to that, I had an Emco Unimat 3 from about 1980. Continual (sometimes sporadic) model and other amateur engineering from 1970s on.
Several years' general centre lathe/Bridgeport/Varnamo vertical mill experience from 1970s.
