I do a bit of engineering work,lathe work for a local agricultural engineer.Help maintain vintage machinery at a local museum.When I get time for myself,I build hot air engines and bits and pieces to go with them.The engines are not all that pretty,but they work,some better than others,not realy impressed by the tin-can engines on the net-I did build one,its the last one I built,theres about a dozen that came before it.Bit more about me.Took an engineering course at technical collage in Dunedin(down south from here,home town),joined RNZAF as aero engine mechanic but had to leave because of health reasons.Did apprenticeship as aircraft engineer with the NZ Cessna agents,working mainly with aerial-topdressing aircraft.Redundant1968,did my training as a nurse until the early 1980s when my health problems recurred.Bought a wood lathe and started to scratch a living(haha),then about 1986 I bought a mill/drill and then a lathe,and started making swarf by the bucket full.
