869 forum posts | Yet another example of where, many years ago and far too late to put right now, ' engineers', around the world , sold their talents too cheaply. Where would all the bankers ( et al ) be, without all the toys that make money, make money. Instead of where they belong , at the bottom of the food chain. Terrific machine though. |

Michael, programmers for CNC are becoming a law unto themselves and are commanding very good money, skill related of course. We have had guys come for jobs and we now ask for a demonstration under the guidance of our senior programmer ( which is what they are really). When your trusting someone that you do not know with your £80k machine, one has to be sensible😁 Bri |

I imagine it's one of those "lets make something really cool to show off all the different things it can do" things. in other words, a posh paperweight.

![]() 5068 forum posts 3 photos | But if you downsize a bit we already have the cheaper spin offs.
If 15 years ago someone said you could have a CNC mill, CNC lathe, 3D Printer and a laser cutter in your little shed / garage / workshop / man cave [ delete as necessary ] you would have been burnt at the stake as a heretic using Winfield and Sooper Adapt packing cases [ well cardboard box or newspaper in the Sooper Adapts case ] as fuel.
That little laser cutter spends a lot of it's time, when working, making gaskets. Now that word has gone round it seems that no one wants to tap a gasket out with a small ball pein hammer any more. One fork lift company is over the moon because I make them ten gaskets for what Mitubushi want for one and it's not even hard work to throw a sheet of paper on the bed, press go and then go put the kettle on.
Not the gasket in question
But the curved slot is 0.75mm wide and the hole towards the outer of the central spar is 0.5mm. Try tapping that out with a 2lb hammer
The whole point being, no mater what industry has it filters down eventually |
