Nice venue. Before that it was north of Oxford Street.

Nick,

HSE indg 327 dated 2014 states 1 hour (to allow acetone to settle). "Obviously" more than this safer but not required by HSE.

Unless you can find a later advice.

If you transport acetylene cylinder laying down it MUST be stood upright for an hour before use to allow gas to settle.

Use DRO . radius is set by X = required radius. X=0 can be anywhere you want off the end of the table. Input Xrad Set cutter diameter and cut on outside, use small incremental steps for Y. When done merely smooth rouugh edge to take off peaks.

The screw is there to stop the collet turning when the drawbar is tightened. Get rid of it and see if that makes any difference. Neither of my R8 mills have the screw fitted.

Andrew

+1 Took it out of my BPT a long time ago. You should be able to remove any burr by careful use of grinder as suggested by Pete Rimmer.

Well said, real "horses mouth" information rather than ill informed statements.

State owned and operated enterprises were/are not the best run either. Too much political interferance.

The Electoral Commission should have been aware of the risk and better prepared.

Using DarkSpace for instance, a Cambridge spin out.

Even your humble breakfast flakes, 30g portion barely covers the bottom (well half way up then) of a normal bowl !!

Just wonder how many customers actually take notice of the labels anyway!?

Looking at the larger population, they do not care what is printed on the packaging.

Thread: 1950 Myford

I remember a new Myford ML7 for sale in our local ironmongers shop in the early 1960s, and it was grey I viewed that lathe with envy can't remember the price but it was out of my pay scale at that time.

MichaelR

May 1960 price, basic £63.12. 6 to this you needed to add motor and clutch if required.

When I bought my ML7 in the late 50s I think I paid £57 or there abouts, still have it sitting in the corner as an unused heirloom! Good as new.

Definately Myford Grey

I use the insert type almost to the total exclusion of the plain type, works every time for me, even when used for quiye large diameters. If set correctly they are fine, but being an insert you have to make them work hard.

15K + 35K or more +1K4

Today I saw an article which said that if I went down the heat pump route I could "save" £150+ on my annual bill, well that is a non starter with the interest on the cost rather more than that £150crying
