All 3phase machines.

Let me tell you a secret...the machine doesn't know or care what prime mover is spinning the wheels.

There are rpm limits to observe yes.. but nothing inherent in 3phase motor.

The VFD can allow a wide range of motor spindle speeds...

But belting for wider still , range is worth considering...yes too the "back gear"...VFD are not magic...

That said with huge torque comes huge responsibility

My experience with "limited"...Read weak.. phones and android go...well it doesn't.

I changed up , modestly to Samsung a12.. 150 quid

Such a relief...

Couple of things here

Maybe the magazine should migrate the archive to a more "durable" format ....nothing lasts forever but formats least of all

And secondly from the thread title I was hoping for a discussion on the merits of explosive deburring ...sometime used for flash removal...

Carbon fiber framed are available.. Around Fiver each.

Can't say I've experienced them but frames made of low thermal and drill able material has potential of adding simple direct measurement to various axis .

Can I suggest.

With known sample of plated chrome and another of nickel

Arrange ref probe to dip in small drop of tap water with perhaps dash of baking soda. You need a electrolyte.

Drop of electrolyte on unknown measure voltage between sample and probe. Compare voltage between the two probes.

The lowest different will indicate the match......

Also contacts are present on topside of the pcb so might

be shorted by case .

It might be stuffed but it might not .

Lump of rubber. Long wire(knitting needle).. continuously adjustable ratio.....

Gentle readers...remember the longest axis for your part can be the diagonal of the built SPACE not just the platform.

Also having layers non parallel with the face of the part can optimise your build strength.

Though if you are building in a heated build cab say 70degrees your interlayer bonding improves s lot

IPA..iso propol alcohol..propan 1.1 ol'.

I prefer this to meths.. 90+ percent as supplied versu 60 percent ethanol in meths...meths barely burns theses days . Barely (and possibly not even) strong enough as hand sanitizer....in any case IPA will even release hot glue....

Skipping over the err.... language..perfectly correct but at moment in helpful.

Glass panel...do you mean the glasing of the case or the LCD itself.

If ,the window in the external case , then at first go try softening the glue with IPA.. or meths .

Hot air might work too.

Back to point.... either

Take circumference by wrapping strip of paper

Divide this length with drafting techniques..transfer these divisions back to wheel.

Or

Turn wheel to have circumference yielding convenient division  

Or use cad to divided wheel and print paper strip.

Glue down and over varnish.

The latter works for me ..also get better contrast for my tired eyes.

Further to my last.

In the electronics industry.

We from time to time need to verify the lead free status of components .

Lead detection "pens" exist for this purpose.

So for the purpose of detecting leaded solder than maybe these might be illuminating.

It is generally considered that in lead/tin solder ( and I guess to some extent lead free) that an alloy layer forms tin-copper

If you etch with acid the tin may be left with copper being removed first ( my recollection of relative reactivity is hazy)

I know in brass(copper zinc) The zinc can go first leaving spongy copper behind...but don't know it is in tin copper being ( bronze seems more durable)

Further.

A quick Google leads to a lively community of home programming of Widex aids.

It's not impossible that the manufacturer of the aid, doesn't licence the "programming" software ...in such a way that there is a licences fee per "installation".

Seen such with software to programme PLC's and VFD. For my money....those companies don't get my trade but you get the point.

Same thing used to happen with cad post processing..

Any way it might not be the chap at SS but some Sharpie at the hearing aid company that's behind this.

Slightly confused here.

You wish to solder using pure tin

( Lead free electrical solder is tin 97 % plus

With silver and copper...plus flux to suit

)

You wish to use low temp to protect the temper of the steel add ons

Now leaded based solder melts at a lower temp than lead free.

So if leaded solder( I have seen it used as tell tale for tempering) needs too much heat for your application ,the lead free or pure tin will be worse from the point of view of disturbing the temper.

There are special alloys that melt at less than even leaded solder...."magic metal" from memory..sold for PCB rework.. basically used to de-solder surface mount chips

This stuff is expensive but not silly

It's structural strength is unknown to me

Google "de-solder alloy"
