I woke up this morning to snow on the ground (North Yorkshire). The freezer has needed de-frosting for some time, so I bagged up the contents and dumped them outside. Then did the defrost (aided by a heat gun). Freezer is now refilled, neatly for now, but it won't last. Another round tuit job done.

Lovely and sunny here in Bristol but too cold to venture into the shed. Talking of defrosting the freezer, I did mine a few weeks back, also aided with a heat gun. The roof of the freezer now has a non-flat feature!

I’ve never tried with the hot air gun. I’ve always used the cheap low pressure steamer. Perhaps more water than a hot air gun but vey quick shifting the ice.

Snowed here, for a short while, but not settled.

I've used both a steam cleaner and a hot air gun and the steam cleaner is better

It also gives you more memorable burns if you make a mistake

Both will do the job though

After years of defrosting the freezer I finally bought one that defrosted itself. I have no idea how it works but it is a modern marvel.

It is sleeting here but there is snow lying on the Cotswold edge 2 miles away.

The young man across the way is cutting up plywood sheets with an electric, mains, circular saw outside his girl friend's garage. He is wearing shorts!

Mountain biking today (in shorts). 2 deg.C. Fine until I got a puncture. Cold fingers and an innertube change. Not fine any more!

Also biking today, definitely not in shorts though. Had to cut my usual ride short, too many people out 'socially distanced walking' getting in the way in my local South Bucks country park. No snow here but only 3degC.

Harz Mountains, I think. I went there within three weeks of re-unification. I was told about the railway by a friend who had frequently rode on it and worked for British Aerospace!

Snow on the ground in Warrington, most unusual, didn't get above 3.5C all day today and freezing at night. I've had to do my boots with dubbin so I can take the dog out without going flat on my derriere
