Hello everyone,

You may have noticed my absence over the last week, or tried to get in touch with me and failed.

I have had a rather nasty short illness which isn't over yet. When I'm better I need to catch up with the next MEW so it will take me a while to work through the rather large backlog of emails and messages I have.

Thanks to everyone for thier patience.

Neil

In the spirit of the forum, would you not consider starting a thread "How to fix Neil"? Members could post ideas for remedies / surgery. You might even find people willing to operate.

Just a thought.

In any case. Get well soonsmile p

David.

Or "Breaking for spares" cheeky but might not get any takers.

Do medical forums get the same sort of posts as this one?

"I did first aid at school so thought I'd try a heart transplant on the wife. I've connected up two of the pipes from the pump thingy but where do the other two go?"
"What sort of blood do I use in a 1945 model wife?"
"I got a bargain box of spare legs at a car boot".
Perhaps Tony can start another website - www.corpses.co.uk

I suppose we would be quite adept at making a "Super Neil".

Thats what you get for spending too many nights out in the cold looking up at the sky, get well soon.

I just hope that he is Super Adept at getting back on his feet...

(Neil - apologies for the joke, but do hope to read more of your quips here again soon)

Bazyle, I claim rights on "Corpse Delivery Service". Handy for young motorists needing a quiet back seat driver/companion, for discouraging undue attention. Prop one up inside your front door in case of unwelcome visitors, regularly replaced for that 'Fresh' appearance. Have a 'conversation piece' to avoid unwelcome silences at parties, and somewhere to park hats, pipes, umbrellas, spliffs etc. Make a fourth for cards, handy for practice funerals, family portraits, darts practice. Testimonials available.

Best wishes Neil;

Been for X-rays myself yesterday, spine, hips, pelvis, lumbar area, .... arthritis showed up in lower spinal area last year, considered using WD40 for lub' ... seemingly it's not recommended by GP/ Orthopaedic specialist surprise

Neil - Hope you are back to normal ASAP. In the meantime why not ease the strain by delegating? There seem to be some keen moderators hereabouts - give them a chance to earn a little respect!

Get well soon.

If this is similar virus as was going round downunder be warned anywhere from 3 days to 3 months for fit and healthy people. Some seeing a 2nd and 3rd bout. Dr's were not perscribing unless serious infection in lungs throat etc.. R&R order of the period.
