Born in the UK Newcastle region. Moved to Sydney in 1961 with parents.
Have had a keen interest in all things engineering mainly metal and wood.
Became an apprentice Motor Mechanic at 16 1969. Transfered to Coach Builder and built buses and coaches for the next 5 years with Custom Coaches NSW.
Due to trade I became a lover of restored vehicles and the old school of Coach Building ways. Weekends in my last two years of being an apprentice I worked at a Vintage and Veteran Car Museum Greens Motorcade now long gone.
Took to driving buses and coaches as well as maintianing them for 25 years from about 1976/7. Got to drive school kids to grannies most of Australia's east coast. Became a Licensed Motor Mechanic, Vehicle Builder, Spray painter. Studied Mech Eng DIP but had to let it go when contracting Chronic fatiuge.
Married with 3 adult children, 4 grandchildren one dog mini foxie.
Now medically retired and user of a wheelchair. Took on the woodturing and other woodwork as a hobby to keep me active still the world of model engineering and machining beckoned. 2013 I bought my first ML7 Myford a lot to learn and willing student.
Due to CMT Charcot Mari Tooth my medical condition I started a Blog on those and myself who have some medical condition/disability and yet still work or have a hobby in metal and woodworking areas.
