I suppose it helps readers to more quickly "index" who is posting.

... Can't really get enthusiastic about them though.

I think I am missing something here. What is an avatar, and how would one use, install, make one ??

An avatar is the little picture to the left of Paul's posting. They are just a means of identification for people who can't read. Just for fun really. You can set them through the menu on "My Profile".

I don't have one here, but on another website have a dog with its head down a hole in the ground, as I'm usually in the dark.

Hi, I can't remember him singing that one.

A more in depth explanation of an avatar may be found here **LINK**

It helps me find my own comments! And I'm fascinated by the reverse aging demonstrated by Terry, Fizzy and a few others.

Hi, yes it is a bit cruel, however he has been pretty successful at not "SINGING" anything, but be careful as to which tracks you creadit just to Bryan Ferry as he was also frontman to Roxy Music.

So do you know if Avalon should be creadited to Bryan Ferry or Roxy Music?

Regards Nick.

Strictly speaking, I think it should be Roxy Music, but Bryan came to mind first.

We're surely not ranking him alongside the likes of Telly Savalas, Lee Marvin and Terry Wogan are we? surprise

Martin.

No, you're getting it all wrong, were you thinking of Dora Bryan?
