Hi There

First 18 years with no spare money. This renews to a further 18 years each time a new one arrives.

Then the last one reaches 18 (last Sunday) and all your financial problems are over.

I hope!

regards David

My four are, 33, 30, 29, .25. And I am still a bank that only pays out. 1st gchild arrived, living in nz. + wife all making withdrawals on the old reserves.
That apart I hope all goes well.

David, I admire your optimism, but the logic is flawed. There is University- 3 degree courses - then a job, somewhere to live, life's ephemera (cars etc). The Bank of Dad is always in demand.

It seems in this country that the most highly qualified, technically competent, are expected to live on a pittance, while barrow-boys become millionaires and Knights of the Realm.

Glad I didn't vote for them.

Hi Guys,

When I was being born my Pater was busy fiddling (possibly hiding) about in the shed, what a sensible chap he was. I wonder where the sensible gene went?frown

My eldest is 44 (daughter) youngest 30 (son), eldest grandchild 18, youngest 3. I am happy to say that all my children have good jobs, and are far better off than the old fella who is on pension credit and nowt to hand out. So i think i am the exception to the rule. No complaints from me though. I hope your ordeal is soon over Fizzy, and you are soon a proud dad. Cheers Derek.

David,

Don't lull Fizzy into a false sense of security! I've just been finding drills so the 27 year old who lives with us can repair his exhaust (at least i don't have to crawl under his car to do it these days!) The 30 year old left home a year ago. By my calculations the 14 year old will be round for another 16 years...

Are kids allowed to do paper rounds any more??????? If so, as soon as my one reached 7, he's out delivering and saving up !!! If not, he's going down the pits !!

No paper rounds, no pits. Best investment for a girl child is a ladder, this will save a lot when she wants to get married.

My daughters are both Certified Accountants, and the grandchildren are getting into horse riding. This means they don't ask me for money, I'm thinking possibly the other way round...

Its not often I keep looking at a thread for an update - but I have with this one!

Congratulations Fizzy - and Mrs Fizzy!

Enjoy you precious days. My first born - now 15 - is off out with her dad on an A4 on the mainline tomorrow and I'm happy to say there's nowhere she would rather be.
Teach her welll, Fizzy.

Congrats to you and better half!

Watching her grow up will be one of the wonders of the world.

Other half and I have been watching grand daughter the past year, and it really has surprised us at how quickly she learns, and now beginning to test parents and ourselves.

Must be something to do with evolution or whatever.

Both of you enjoy and take plenty of photos and videos!

They grow up much too quickly, or is it just us getting older quicker
