Going up the Amazon all the houses were on stilts, so a quantity of blocks say a foot above ground would let the water through without comprimising the shed. They are simple but wonderfull people, money has no use to them we bartered with diesel etc; for food and shelter.

Thread: Use of language
16/12/2013 13:45:15

Peter,

I live in a cottage, on a little bridle path out in the country but it is also a shortcut for school children going via the fields over the frome river and up to another village, to the local school, the language is ripe and they do not say it to each other they scream it. at each other.

Thread: Use of language
15/12/2013 21:40:07

Well I live in the wilds of somerset and our little local pub that I tend to frequent at lunchtime (for over 20yrs) has
tractor drivers, farmhands, there is a fairground wintering yard nearby, and the language can get very ripe
but if a lady walks in everyone behaves themselves. I personally abhor swearing and all the lads know that.
I personally do not worry about a few *****s. in text.
Ketan my pennyworth and keep up the good work of supplying us with goodies.
