I was a senior engineer & installations manager for Technosound & Bang & Olufsen Milton Keynes, Im now self employed freelance installer, I studyed electrical and mechanical engineering but a large proportion of the knowlage i have was passed down. Currently im restoring a 31/2 inch L&YR Aspinal 2-4-2, i have a small lenth of 71/4 gauge in the garden for a small petrol-electric loco. I was brought up around the railways (my father, grandfather were welders & fabricators for BR Wolverton).  I started in model engineering at the ripe old age of 14 working on the Willen Miniture Railway, Willen lake, Milton Keynes, a 71/4 inch line which at the time was half a mile long. Hauled by Mr Frank Kenny's "Britannia" whilst he built a narrow gauge loco for the line "Judy", it was here  on "Britannia & Judy" i learned about driving and firing small locomotives, i also have knowlage of full size traction engines gained from a young age.
 
Now im an avid fan of Milton Keynes Light Railway run by MKMES who have been doing great things down at  Caldecotte lake, Milton Keynes.
since i have moved to Bedfordshire i must promote BMES and Summerfields railway http://www.bedfordmes.co.uk/
I have a small workshop and own a Portass lathe (Rare Big Dreadnaught http://www.lathes.co.uk/portassbigdreadnaughtpart1/), milling machine (small Proxon), Small pillar drill (unknown lovely jacobs chuck), Large pillar drill (Record power a free gift) & Power hacksaw (Mc Master 604 free from M.E. classifieds).
