Following on from their world record success with the Warhorse monowheel **LINK** the UK Monowheel team are making a new wheel named Trojan. So I have started making parts for it and will be getting some work done over the next few weeks.

My only trips into McD are 'cos they have clean toilets.

Same here, even in China and, perhaps more surprisingly, in Francewink

For me, Christmas morning cooking a British style Christmas lunch. Then drinks on the terrace in the sun. Then Skype call to the grandchildren in the afternoon.

Boxing day lunch in the mountains for a white Christmas then perhaps some workshop time on Tuesday.

Joyeux Noel à tous

Never plan to do anything, 'cos you will be disappointed. Here in N Scotland have been looking round for stuff that might blow away, got the tractor shed tied down to the tractor, so should be ok. Will be happy when the storm passed and the new roof is still on. I have a bookshelf to finish then get tidied , then back to the hot-air engine that I have not seen for weeks. Beef rib for xmas. Fast food ? bah. Off to pub this lunchtime, need to check holiday openings.

I shall be sorting/cleaning my wife's uncle's lifetime collection of SnapOn tools which he gifted me today; while I listen to some Bach, Classic FM, and early Pink Floyd/Hoobastank.
I may suspend the morphine and gabapentin in favour of some port and Staffe Hendrik.

Season's greetings to one and all.

I'd like to wish everyone the very best for Christmas and New Year. gift

Possibly a good time to let folks now that because of the holidays MEW250 won't be on the newsagent shelves until 4 January 2017, subscription copies may arrive a few days later than expected.

(Good news for me is it went to the printers on time so at least I get a break!)

MEW 250 arrived in today's post, ready for reading with a few glasses of Port.

I was rather impressed to see the double-spread photo, on pp14-15

... Whatever next ?

... Can we look forward to 'gatefold' pin-ups in future issues ? devil

.

Best Wishes to all ... and dare we even hope for Peace [anywhere] in 2017 ?

Glad you like it!

When we have photos of sufficient resolution and quality, I hope to feature one or two at larger size, hopefully with minimal impact on the amount of content!

Whether or not I get into my workshop to do anything useful before New Year remains to be seen. What I have promised myself to do is to complete some of the several unfinished projects rather than start any new ones. I'm sure I'm only one of many in that situation.

I hope to do a few hours today (Xmas eve) and again on Boxing day. A mate who looks after a local football club ground keeping equipment has dropped a repair in for ASAP delivery.

That looks a very silly and pointless motorcycle!

Excellent, just the sort of thing I like to see wink 2.

Spent a couple of hrs in my cave yesterday on my S10H; trial assembly has it running reasonably well freehand. My MEW # 250 issue arrived 23/12 as well, another few pages to peruse over the hols... with a tot... or three.
Merry Xmas to all readers, may 2017 bring you all you wish for.

George.

Only wheelies with a monowheel but they worry about 'gerbilling'. Christmas is one day late for our family since my wife is working today (NHS) so I have been making parts, 304 stainless axle bushes to be moulded into some rubber.

Following on from the Warhorse monowheel, many years ago I saw on the internet I saw a V8 powered monowheel.... only in the USA!
Boy was it funny, almost unrideable and all that torque.

Hi martin, they look great, did you make your own drawing for that? If so, do you mind kindly telling what software you used?

My Christmas present to all my discerning, tasteful, dedicated readers (f any) was delivered when I rose at midnight after a post-prandial sleep, and joined the ranks of those who work when others are having fun or living it up, or both. 500 words added to my next masterpiece. Theme this year? Nuts, crackers, no sprouts, cake, and Tim Peake's book of photos from ISS.

HNY everyone!

Last finishing touches to a kitchen I have been doing and then pop into a regular client for a quick dod job, should be done by lunchtime then I'm off for two weeks.

Will no doubt spend a day or three in the workshop working on the R&V and Ruston Hornsby engines and may be tempted to make a start on something else. Also got a package from ARC sitting under the tree.

J

Maybe I should ask you to quote on our kitchen Jason. Works off for me over xmas may start again before the new year. Planning just how to level the floor. Tricky. The bits that are being done are not too bad so far. Still need to sort out can I plaster in one place. Hope I can otherwise I'll get one in.

John
