![]() 53 forum posts 16 photos | Hello all, My name is Mark and I used to be into model engineering around 35 years ago, then life, other interests and starting a joinery manufacturing business, all meant there was no time!! Earlier this year my Dad, who was a joiner, sadly died, and we have to empty his house in order to sell it. In his large shed still sits my Raglan LittleJohn Mk2 lathe, among lots of joinery tools, other tools and machinery. So this has spurred me on to sort out my garage, in order to move the lathe in, and to hopefully re-start this hobby. Mostly my interests were/are in tooling and machinery rather than engines, but who knows. Other interests are photography, and woodwork. |

![]() 2110 forum posts 565 photos | Hi welcome to the forum I seem to get involved in tooling and machinery and get a little time to make models as well. My wife has just taken up a new hobby of stained glass and I seem to be a specialist in that at the moment but hey no you never know where these things go to. Have a go at anything. David |

613 forum posts 39 photos | Mark Welcome tot the forum and deepest sympathy for your loss, I too have also recently lost my parents and have cleared my fathers workshop. I too like making tools and am also being tempted to make an engine. I wish you the best of luck in setting up your workshop, I found there is no finer place to honour the memory of your father. Regards Adrian |

![]() 135 forum posts 2 photos | Hello Mark ... not sure where you are in East Yorks ? ? there is a model boat society in Bridlington ... there are 3 model engineering societies possibly near you ... Hull, York and Pickering ... they probably all have web sites ... the one at Pickering does crop up on the club news page in Model Engineer magazine ... there are also several small groups of people with garden railways, such as the 16 mm society ... someone in these groups might be able to help with problems. martin |
