Oh bugger, I told you I was ill

Gents,

Just a note to say I have had a sore back for a few months and today I get a free ride in an ambulance to the hallamshire hospital.

Seems I have a burst disc and need it sorting pronto and as such I'm booked in for surgery first thing.

So i may be absent for a short while but I'll be thinking about swapping that lathe motor when I get out.

I'm not religious or anything but keep me in your thoughts and prayers guys, please. Never had this kind of thing before.

Wish it was something you guys could sort in your shop.

Back on the ward, no pins and needles for first time in I dont know how long! Feels weird to feel normal.

What an Ebay hero!, I have met the surgeons knife many times, but it gets no less nerve wracking1 It is done now, take it easy and allow yourself time to recover. Good luck young man!

Final update, I am back home to rest for at least two weeks before I can start to do some basic exercises for the next four to six weeks before resuming normal service.

Thanks again for all your kind words and thoughts.

Whike I was in there I met one of my former customers who I didntvrecall straight away. He wheeled up to me in his wheelchair and cheerfully declared, "you pulled me out of my loft ten years ago, thanks for being a gent and looking after me" I recalled him then as he was naked and covered in loft insulation when we last met lol.
