Thread: HELP WITH OILCAN OILER - MADE IN ENGLAND |

Also on the woodworking forum. But, fair enough, I think the guy is casting his net wide, in the hope of getting some info.

Perhaps there should be a vote on a like button, Like or do not Like. Just saying. Alan LIKE That was an effort for me.

"Like" is a quick form of feedback and very popular on many fora. How easy would it be to achieve it - if the MODS decide it's a good idea? |
Thread: Mery Christmas Everybody |
25/12/2020 08:47:57 |
A very Merry Poly Denominational Mid Winter Festivity (AKA Christmas), to each and everyone one of you. The forum remains to be a haven of sanity in these turbulent times, thanks to everyone on here, and made possible by the dedication of the few. Take the good, and the lessons, of the past, and keep looking forward. All the very best, Daniel

Thread: Applause 4 Arc |
16/12/2020 11:38:24 |
I'm not usually one for this type of thread but, Arc€urotrade have absolutely astonished me, this time. Following Ketan's recent thread regarding Euro sales, I thought I would also slip in a small order before the dreaded date. Just to add to his workload, if you follow me I placed the order on Saturday afternoon, and it's arrived this morning (Wednesday)....! I live in deep rural France. Well done ARC. ATB, Daniel

Thread: Plans for updating the archaic forum? |

I also feel the need to add; If it ain't broke don't fix it. Yes, it's not the most flamboyant glittering software out there, but it does work in so far as we need it to. Change for the sake of change is what has brought our world to what it has become. BE VERY AWARE ATB, Daniel Edited By Daniel on 11/11/2020 20:29:02 |

I have real concern in revisiting this particular thread - it should have been moderated CLOSED some time back. I neither know, nor would care to know, Mr Lever, but his self-promoting conceits leave quite the nastiest residual 'taste' I can recall on this forum. To smugly bleat on about his exceptional talents being denied the (free) oxygen he clearly feels that they deserve, on the forum he, so unfairly, denigrates, is almost beyond belief. To then, further, use that same despised forum to advertise his pathetic need for further gratuitous 'exposure' says even more about his character than I could express without justifiable moderation! Justin, Neil, whoever, preferably, delete! rgds Bill
I would, sadly, agree to your sentiments Jack. His behaviour is horribly underhand. I wouldn't vote for a deletion though, personally. Let people have their say. "Give a man enough rope, etc...." ATB, Daniel

Okay, but it would be naive to think that such a commercially driven forum (for all it's positive attributes), should ignore conflicts of interest with it's paying advertisers. Without which niether the magazine, nor this forum would exist. Personally, I still find the balance to be quite reasonable, all things considered. I also feel it important to support Neil and Jason in the sterling work they do, often in difficult circumstances. My apologies, if this post lacks relevance. ATB, Daniel |
