21 forum posts 1 photos | My fairy seems to have a taste for allen keys. I swear just the other day I was using a 5mm allen key on the bench. Next time I wanted to use it, just three or four minutes later, it was over by the drill press. Go figure. Edited By Bill Robley on 19/12/2013 09:43:31 |

![]() 3676 forum posts 82 photos | I have been to the shop and bought another tool because I can't find the one I know I have somewhere, currently cannot find box of ER25 collets or the adapter plate for 3 jaw chuck to fit on rotary table. I think I probably have a mischevious elf rather than a fairy in my workshop (or I could just be disorganised). Mike |

222 forum posts 7 photos | I have a black hole in my workshop that small parts are drawn to. Just after I decide not waste any more time trying to find a lost part and have finished making another it spits the original one out at my feet.

570 forum posts 18 photos | I have often spent more time looking for a mislaid part than it took me to make another even after taking care to put the original where I can easily pick it up. Yes, it then appears from a place where I've already looked three times. Colin |

2356 forum posts 47 photos | My allen keys are made of "quantum steel". They teleport themselves to another dimension and sometimes reappear at random intervals. It's probably related to experiments at the Institute for Quantum Computing at University of Waterloo just up the road from me. Merry Christmas to all here. JD |

The worst of course, is the item you just put down, it's staring you in the face, but you still spend ages searching for it. Geoff - Drawer organizing progressing in leaps and bounds, not today though. |

1826 forum posts 1 photos | I expect that the upcoming million mile service on the sleigh will need lots of tools and spares. No doubt the original parts will not be available, therefore our types of workshop will be needed. Think I am probably immune at the moment because the workshop power supply has been condemned, suppose that makes me an armchair model engineer! Edited By V8Eng on 20/12/2013 09:10:05 |
