Bought a chainsaw, got it home, unpacked it but having a few problems with it and wondered if the combined expertise of this forum could shed some light on how this works ?

I would have thought that the manual would have had a few useful 'links' showing how to use it Hope you sort it out. Cheers Martin
ps You have far too much time on your hands |

![]() 339 forum posts 7 photos | John, Can spot 3 problems straight away ! One is that the wing nut is at the back rather than the front where it should be , and also, assuming one is right handed, starting will be almost impossible , because the pull cord is on the wrong side of the handle ! And finally, the pitch of the teeth is far too coarse for normal use, which may explain why it was bargain. Assume they had run out of finer pitch versions ? Trevor. |

I know you favour the bigger jobs so maybe it will come in useful. Cheers Norman Edited By NJH on 04/11/2012 00:57:59 |

Had thought about buying one of those but it was stretching my budget too far and besides the company couldn't or wouldn't supply the figures for the elastic limit of the blade Cheers ps Rymans do a good selection of blades at reasonable prices and they are colour coded as well. |

Did you remove the chain guard on your chain saw as sawing chains without it you'll have links flying every where, then you spend ages hunting for the missing links. My advice wood be to take it back to the chain store, get your money back head for the pub |

![]() 3988 forum posts 1799 photos | Hi John, was it advertised as an engineers chainsaw? Because I reckon it's a fake if it was. It must be about 99 feet to short, and that might be why it's not working properly. If it is a surveyors one, then it's still about 65 feet to short. Regards Nick. |
