Just out of interest and if you are prepared to say..lol What 3 main interests do you have other than model engineering. You dont have to go into a lot of detail but I guess some of the answers could be quite surprising.

I will kick it off.

N gauge model railway: I have a scratch built layout (not finished) and apart from the track and loco,s most of it I have modelled myself.

Cooking: I just love cooking, no particular style of cooking but I do like trying to dream up recipes.

Ancient Egypt: Pyramids etc, dont quite know why but it has fascinated me ever since I can remember..

Military History - esp. 20th C.

Astronomy - casual stargazer rather than detailed observer.

Reading - esp. but not exclusively Science Fiction (only the stuff I think is good!).

Cycling

Shooting - shotguns and rifles

Cooking

Music

Cars

Nice wine

Photography

(Yes I know, that is seven, but they all rank as equally important!)

Oh, and my interest is engineering in general, not model engineering such as steam engines, no desire to make those.

How to fry the perfect steak can raise a louder argument than even Brexit

That's easy, I would never dream of frying a steak cheeky

In no particular order

Beer
Food, both cooking and eating out
Photography
Walking
Hedgelaying (winter sport)
Music (rock and blues mostly), listening live and at home
20c military defence architecture (pillboxes)
Used to do a lot of clay shooting, but not so much recently

In summary far too many for someone who is working full time. No wonder my ME projects take so long to complete.
