Careful what you say or every one will turn up on Friday I did not go last year but other years I have gone on Friday and it did seem like everyone had turned up! Not sure if I can go this year, several family issues to deal with at present..

7517 forum posts 20 photos | I’m going, but not from Newcastle. Mode of travel? Fewer HGVs on the road at the weekend. Bargains on the last day? You might want to choose based on the lecture programme? Perhaps better to make it two days with over 200 miles travelling each way? I’ve only gone on the same day each time, so comparison of days is not possible for me. Maybe take 4 coins (one for each day) and flip them, until there is one odd heads or tails, and choose that day ? I avoid planning for the last day, just in case something important arises - leaving no second option. |

1081 forum posts 39 photos | I’m going Sunday, on holiday till then. Wouldn’t go on a Friday, as travelling from M1 north and traffic is a BIG problem in the week. Sunday quiet drive across country and going to similar shows has always been good. |

![]() 6956 forum posts 229 photos | Quite enjoyed it last year as the weather was good and the outside display had a fine time of it. I don't go every year so it gives time for a few changes to avoid it being samey. Lectures can be a bit hit and miss when they are given by amateurs but I think I benefitted from Keith's one a few years ago. It is a bit of a pity they do not get repeated on other days and more than once a day. Last year I missed a good demo by going to a talk that turned out to be by someone who knew even less than I did on the subject so it didn't help me much. |
