Nice bit of miniaturisation. I'm assuming the whole box is about 1/4 inch long and perhaps was used for blowing pills down the gullets of bees.

It's a right bummer to have been prescribed this treatment but you could always blow smoke rings in a less conventional way though you had better be sitting on the 'Thunder Box' first cheeky.

As usual I got the wrong end of things!

I looked and thought perhaps it was a portable version of a head inflator.

Perhaps Oscar Wilde new a thing or two when he wrote 'The Importance of Being Earnest' or perhaps in the this case it would be more appropriately titled 'The Benefits of Not Being Earnest' wink.

Clive

I think I saw something like this on the telly, BBC probably, some time ago. Initially it just looked familiar then my grey matter stirred, the odd neuron fired and a picture sprang to mind as tears sprang to my eyes at the thought of the discomfort that may be wrought on the unfortunate recipient. Then a quick Google, not Goggle, to confirm my fears.

And there are those who would it seems wish to go back to the Good Old Days. Not ME

Cheers and happy bee keeping.

Not such an 'old fashioned idea'

A recent episode of the News Quiz ended by saying how a woman dissatisfied with her local health club had been offered a free colonic irrigation as compensation.

Well, lets put it to bed shall we, it was used to puff tobacco smoke into the anus of drowned people, the belief that it would make them start breathing again. I cannot imagine hot tobacco smoke going there! LOL.

Well Clive

It could well have been effective - just imagine, if there was ANY life left I think the procedure may well have induced a sharp intake of breath!

I once saw a chart of pressure points (martial arts) interestingly the pressure point associated with drowning was in the anus.
ps Don't ask me to help you if you're drowning.

Beautifully made piece of equipment

No all wrong it is device invented by a vet to blow pills down a horses throat .

Previously he used to put one end of rubber hose in the horses mouth and insert the pill in the other end and then blew in it

He got sick of the horses blowing first.

Maybe I've led a sheltered life; I had no idea what it was for.

What worried me somewhat was that so many of you knew!!!!
