Should be able to get there quicker with no brakes Nooo! He might be late if he drives fast with no brakes. We don’t want that, do we? |

![]() 3676 forum posts 82 photos | The M1 is closed until 3pm on Sunday between J23A and J24, a diversion is in operation but I am sure there will be delays in both directions. Anyone travelling from south of that section would probably want to use an alternative route if they are going to the show on Sunday. Mike |

![]() 175 forum posts | Went on Friday. Main car park full so found room in overspill park. Arrived about 11.00 and walked straight in to get a ticket, no queue and off round the stands. Quite busy and some outstanding work on display. Some of the trade stands gave the impression of being half the size of previous years and I don't know if Warco attended but I didn't see them. Managed to buy what I needed with very little jostling of shoulders and backpacks and noted various suppliers contact details for future purchases.. Went to the upstairs display of aircraft and gas turbines and the food and coffee smelled delightful. Back in the workshop now sizing several sets of ML7 half nuts wot I have cast, with a nice new 8tpi Acme form LH tap from good old Tracy Tools. |

![]() 19226 forum posts 749 photos 86 articles | The problem isn't braking, it's going. I bought a second hand car with new calipers and pads, but the pistons appear to be corroded so the drivers side front brake especially is binding badly. Neil |

5307 forum posts 83 photos | I went yesterday, club stands as usual the best bit, some good trade stands but a lot of tat. Not enough clocks for my liking but you can't have everything. On the way back on the train I experienced a rite of passage, a very polite young man insisted that I take his seat rather than standing. First time ever, I didn't think I looked that old. I think he was just trying to impress his girlfriend. |

![]() 1688 forum posts 16 photos | Duncan, on a recent trip to London and using the Tube I was embarrassed when a young pregnant lady stood and offered me her seat, I do walk with a stick but I must have looked particularly frail that day, glad to report that chivalry is not dead yet as I declined the offer and insisted that she sit down. 366 forum posts 8 photos | Neil, you can buy new piston and seal kits for about ?20 if you don't want the expense of new calipers. You can fit em with the caliper still on the car - I did one of mine a few weeks ago. Andy |

![]() 19226 forum posts 749 photos 86 articles | Only got there just before 2pm Sadly much of the tooling I had seen before. Nice Prusa (latest version) on the SMEE stand. Lots of stands selling pairs of bevel gears. Saw some nice spiral MT roughing reamers, sort of half drill half reamer. Sadly I don't need one at the moment. Bought one of the ''unused edges' TCT insert holders, a BA socket set, 13mm spanner (you can't have too may 13mm spanners), clip-shut forceps. One stand had some evil-looking surgical equipment including grim devices for holding large holes in people open... Lots of people I have never met before asking about my brakes! Trains were in chaos on the way back. Today's total 15,322 steps, 8.04 miles... nothing on the 9th when I did 12.87 miles.

![]() 3445 forum posts 62 photos | Well I really enjoyed the show. You do get some puzzlers though. Rumaging through the offers on one stand I came accross a set of cylinders for a what looked like 3 1/2'" loco, picked one up out of pure curiosity to discover that the tapped hole for the cyliner cap studs actually broke into the bore. I just cannot understand who would buy them. Had a veru helpfull chat with the guys on the SteamTechnology (boilers) stand and am a little closer to ordering a kettle for the King. Anyone know about using ceramic discs for regulators? regards Martin |
