I used to have a neighbour who was a professional spray painter, and very skilled he was too.

But when he was doing a quick job with minimum prep he'd say "I'll give it a bit of a squirt".

Looks like he's been here.  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272575900232

Gulp. I don't know whether to laugh or cry over that abomination.

Oh well, at least he didn't say 'refurbished'.

It realy does make you wonder what goes through peoples heads when they do things like this - and hes

(I assume a he!) not even painted the underside of the plug!

The last picture has the poor thing sitting in a back garden so I would presume it was painted to protect it from the elements

It looks like he ran out of paint while doing the flex. After a fine rub down, I'm sure he'll get the plug on the second coat

Methinks he bought a duffer & wants shot of it quick, just given it a cursory flash over by the looks of it, inc. the bedways & couldn't be bothered to even move the stuff off the back of the tray, still see the previous 'green' ? colour where he/she has skirted around with the spray gun.
Steer clear I would say unless someone has the facilities/time/finances for a complete strip down / rebuild... I could be wrong...?

George.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, I know who the seller is now. yes

There was a member here asking advice about painting a chuck the other week. Seems like he took the advice posted on his forum and did not paint it. smiley
