yes Snap

I have to make the marzipan for the cake tomorrow. It needs more brandy in the cake so can't do it sooner. Better late than never.

Yeh - I usually start in October but we seldom eat any over the Xmas period. Instead of poking holes in it for the brandy to run in I went over it with a fork. 2 big table spoons full disappear pretty quickly now. I should have time for 10 or so of those.

I make the marzipan from scratch. Can't stand the bought stuff. Usually the icing too but they want the roll on stuff this year.

Xmas day is cook the turkey and make the stuffing for me. Hope I can find the thermometers. I use a web method from America. Hot for a rather short time and then rather low. It does tend to keep them moist. Not too sure about over night cooking temperatures that can go for as long as you like. Some still do that in Arga's.

Happy Christmas and Best Wishes for 2017 to all of you who provide me with interest and entertainment throughout the year.

Sorry I've not got much more to contribute than my annual plug for Model Engineers' Day at the Forncett Steam Museum. (Whoops! That's another plug isn't it?)

Bill.

Wishing all members what they would wish themselves.

However, as one of the birthday/Xmas more-or-less combined cohort, I long ago opted for the Bah, Humbug! side of things. Always used to volunteer for working Xmas and New Year. My long-suffering SWMBO found a remarkably apposite card for this year's festivities ...

I trust there will be some forum moderators on duty tomorrow smile o

I dropped in to work in passing this morning to pick up my laptop psu annoyingly left behind. There was just the one other car outside and the one security guard so I could be the only person he got to talk to all day until the shift change. I think tomorrow's duty roster will be even quieter.
