Hi There
I have received the following from our subscription fullfillment house.
Note that the delivery of all magazines is affected, not just ME and MEW.
regards david

Dear All,
Due to the adverse weather conditions and the impact on delivery of magazines and newspapers we have now applied the following message to the Contact Center telephone lines:

"If you are calling regarding non receipt of your magazine, we have been advised by the Royal Mail that the adverse weather conditions are continuing to disrupt their delivery service.  Particularly affected are our weekly titles, however, they will be received once the Royal Mail resume normal service.  Please may I also ask at this time for you to allow a further 5-7days after the on sale date for delivery of our monthly magazines.  We need to ask for your patience as this situation is entirely out of our control. If you have another query please hold for the next available agent."

Kind Regards,

Andy.

My M.E arrived last week. Bad weather is normal in Hungary at this time of year.

My magazines have not arrived yet.

It must just be the magazines that the post office are not delivering

I required a spare part for my milling machine from Arc Euro. Phoned them Friday 15:00 envelope franked as posted at 17:12 and arrived here in west coast Scotland 10:00 am today Monday 20th. Now if the post code of LE16 9EF  is the place that the printing company post there magazines then its strange that Arco Euro which are 21 miles away post code  LE7 1NA can get parts delivered by royal mail why not magazine printing company.

Yes, well now. I have been ordering left right and centre to avoid the VAT increase, and I only started last week. There are only two outstanding items left, mind you one's a really heavy one, and the other was only ordered 3 days ago. I've used Axminster, Machine Mart,  Hemingway, CES and Greenwoods. So I don't understand why Royal Mail are not delivering. And what happened to the missing mags, eg MEW 171? Perhaps they need a good dose of privatisation!

We know how to cope with "adverse weather " in North London - 4393 arrived yesterday and 172 a day or so earlier.  By the way our postman wears a red hat and uses the chimney.  A Happy Day in the workshop to all who can manage it - I think I have been allocated "some" other duties.  By the way I look forward to David's 1000th post - I trust it will be festive!

ME arrived yesterday, 23rd. Seems Royal Mail are being 'selective' with what they deliver. Still waiting on MEW. Makes me think it makes sense to check contents at my local Smiths, where it has been on shelf for days.. and buy if interested, rather than subscribe to cost of extra copies of little interest in these times of cutbacks.
regards,
Keith

Still nothing in NE Hants, now 7 days after "on shelf" day. The mail delivery office is empty so where are they?? Looks as though WHS will have to be visited!

Last mail delivery just arrived here in SE Berks and still no MEW a week after it was on shelf in WHS!  My wifes Good Housekeeping was delivered today. Not sure that I believe any of the 'excuses' about Royal Mail and the weather any more.

It all seems very inconsistent, I got my MEW on Monday (20th) and ME on Tuesday (21st). I wonder if the distribution company use the Royal Mail for the whole delivery, or uses one of the competitors for distribution and the Royal Mail only for the 'last mile' of local delivery?

Slightly OT, I have some insulation for the workshop on order, that should have been delivered last week. Rang up yesterday to ask why it hadn't been delivered, fully expecting the snow to be given as an excuse. Turns out the depot 'lost' the delivery note, so the order became invisible.

Regards,

Andrew
