Anyone want one of these ? Used for a week and discarded.Still sharp enough to slash your hand,(you'll need a handle,) but I like them razor sharp as i'm a weakling..smiley and i don't like pushing so i buy a new one most weeks. I don't buy rubbish ones, they're 25quid new . Tax deductable see ..laugh My fingers get cut to ribbons though.

I took hundreds to the household tip today , I don't know why i keep hold of them for so long ...Jesus it did make a din as i tipped them in the metal skip !! And suddenly i thought someone here would have liked those!! Too late . These were what was left in my van..

Like I said, these have been used, got rained on, slight rust ,rasp might have horseshit in some teeth..i'm not cleaning them , but they'll last on non ferrous and MS for years...overall with tang 17" Put them in lemon juice they'll come up like new. Bonus is they're hard to break , very hard but not that brittle . If you want one you'll have to pay the postage ,about 3 quid each.. Reasonable? I think there's a dozen . But dont buy them just to put on ebay...I can do that..img_4862.jpgimg_4863.jpg

me too, i have encountered some big nasties in my time too, i once sedated an enormous cattle fly with some solvent and looked at it under a digital microscope at work. The eyes were astonishing. laugh

I also found one of those weird ichneumon wasps recently, they are evil looking buggers.

I'd take two if you don't mind, they look like blacksmiths hot work files to me.

Well there's only 12 and they're all spoken for now !! Lots of pms to answer sad

If those who wanted 2 or more don't mind having just one , everyone who's asked can have one .. I won't chuck them in future , and offer them up here . Shame i dumped hundreds yesterday..

they're rasp one side and coarse file the other , no safe edge .

Re my PM, one would be much appreciated, rather than a couple, to give everyone a chance.

Your efforts are much appreciated, but it looks like you might have twice as much packing to do. wink

Funnily enough ...Yeah i'm a farrier....thumbs up

A farrier is always a blacksmith, a blacksmith is not necessarily a farrier, which is why a farrier is cleverer than a blacksmith..cheeky.

Anyway, they can bend a bit....but spring back just fine ..!

Ah, that would explain the mottled appearance on the files, i thought you just had a penchant for storing files in dank cold environments.

I wasn't going to mention the rust stain patterns.....along with the blood.

I'm not a farrier, just have done shoeing back when under Grandads watchful eye...
