Makes peoples complaints about having to wait a year or so for a boiler seem insignificant if he's got an 8yr waiting list for the Unique ones.

A handy place to live

pay a max of 10% tax and enjoy all the benefits of living in the UK...

Meanwhile us suckers pay the full whack on everything...

I watched a fascinating documentary on the box a good number of years ago now about a watchmaker whose work sold for lots. I seem to remember that his workshop was in his loft/attic. Wonder if he was same bloke

The chap was 'apprenticed' to George Daniels, and I believe Dr Daniel's workshop and equipment was bequeathed to him after his death!

Yes that's correct. It makes my meager attempts at 4ba bolts look pretty miserable!! Do you think it comes naturally or lots of practice. Or both.

Fantastic stuff.

Watch the youtube video on how, when he was working with George Daniels, he aquired skills in engine turning. I think you will find that the "lots of practice " component is central!

I'd love to ( have the patience and skill) to do this!

Thank you Michael!!!

Just when you've done a piece of work that you are really pleased with it's always good to view things like that! It certainly puts my feeble efforts into perspective! (But hey - I probably get just as much satisfaction from my comparatively poor achievements.)

Ah well off to do something that I practice often and usually succeed with. ( The weekly shop at Tesco!)
