I have just updated the ticket page at www.modelengineershow.co.uk

Ticket prices remain the same as last year.
You can pre-order at a slight discount. Tickets will be posted a couple of weeks before the show. The order form for ordering by post is not active yet as I am waiting for the PDF of the form from the office.

regards David

Hi There

It is getting time to put all your entries into this year's exhibition. You are running out of time.

It is about 6 weeks early this year, 2, 3 and 4 of November.

You can download the entry form at **LINK**

You really do need to do this very soon.

The Free Sunday Ticket will pe published in Model Engineers' Workshop issue 194 and Model Engineer issue 4439.

I look forward to seeing you all there.

regards David

David.

Will Ray McMahon's Darjeeling Himalayan locomotive be on display there?

If so can I take some photo's of the right hand side of the loco. (of which none have been published to date)

Hi David,

I have some models I would enter/loan, but living near Burton I'm not sure I could fit in teh double journeys down to get the models there and then collect.

There used to be a collection service, is there any chance of such a thing this year?

No, no chance but you have offered a thought.

Why not share with a friend?

One of you brings the models down, the other collects them.

So one journey each.

David, can you confirm the days and times for dropping off and collecting models?

The entry form gives 26 october as the deadline - I'm sure this is wrong, when do we really need to get entries in by?

David, is the Road steam section going to be there this year. I heard that as David Steel is not organizing exhibits this year and finding someone else was a problem it may not go ahead?

Just a thought - at another show I usually pick up a free year planner. Trouble is 8% of the year is past by then. One that marks club shows like Taunton, Bristol, and St Albans (29,30 Sept 2012) would be nice.

Edgar Westbury's engines

Hi There

I have been promised several of Edgar Westbury's original engines for The Model Engineer Exhibition. One or two beam engines will be included.

They will need a clean as they have been stored in a garage but hopefully they will be of interest to visitors.

regards David

DMB,

If you have MEW number 195, there is a free show guide pullout in the centre. The first page of this pullout shows the times. If you don't have it, ask and I'll tell you what it says.

Just a quick question.
I'm planning to go down to the show tomorrow but will be leaving very early to get over the bridge at Darford before rush hour.
That is going to put me at the show for about 8am, does anyone know if there is a local spot to get breakfast or a cup of coffee ?

The centre of Esher is just up the hill from Sandown car park entrance gates, seems to be an assortment of places there.

Expect there will be somebody from the local area around to ask at that sort of time as well.
