![]() 7468 forum posts 230 photos | Before the earthquakes here (10,000 and counting), I used to make steel moulds for making rubber automotive parts (war time Willys Jeeps), from that I would say its fairly easy to make the moulds, its finding the firm with the raw rubber, and the vulcanising gear. The firm I used had fairly primative gear. I don't know the status of the company at the moment, but theres $NZ5/6000 worth of moulds of mine there at the moment, I'll proberbly never see them again. 1001 forum posts 49 photos | Specialist hydraulics or O ring supplier that im afraid. Where are you? I have two proper BS 221 which roughly equates to 36ID X 43.5 O/D x 3.53 cross section. The boxed sets will only be less than 2.92mm cross section for that 36mm ish I/D also marked 221 so some things wrong. Is it something you are building in which case can change the design or to replace an existing O ring? Have a look in yellow pages for a supplier local, some will do cash and not have to have minimum order usually £15 and £5 worth of same item. |
