I don't appear to have a print option on the digital version. Is that an error?

If you look at 179, there is an option on the left to print.

![]() 5068 forum posts 3 photos | So for MEW we now have 3 versions of the reader depending on what issue you are looking at. For a paid for service it's about time it was sorted out. The current readers are flaky and it all depends on computers and how they read flash as to the success you get with crashing and quality. I see not reason for all this jumping thru hoops that is needed and the expense of third party readers which only cost. The mags are in pdf format when they go to the printer so why can't the pdf file be posted ? Or is that too simple? John S. |

![]() 544 forum posts 8 photos | 180 is using the new viewer.
There is a print icon in 179 ... but it is missing in 180 and also it is missing in the latest copy of ME. (All using the new viewer)
This needs sorting out ... these copies are usless without the print option. (Either singler page or article or entire issue) ... if the print option is not put back .. I shall be demanding that I am sent a paper copy. I am not prepared to take my PC/Laptop into the workshop!

There should be 4 icons in the top left hand side. (MEW179 had 4)
Print Icon is missing

![]() 5068 forum posts 3 photos | Dave, The single page print option is in 180, zoom a page and it's at the top. We were promised full document printing in the old reader, some of the ME's had it, it's only a software option that needs switching on. Now we had a new reader in 179 which other than crashing all the while works, if that makes sense ? What annoys me is the way this whole digital issue is treated, it's a paid for service and if you bought goods off one of the supplies in MEW or ME and they turned out "Not fit for Purpose " as is always bandied about, there would be outrage. MHS employ people to look after the web site and related topics so why are we getting these ongoing issues ? John S. |

837 forum posts 27 photos | The first time I opened the new viewer, I didn't get a print option on the left, but the second time, I did. But even the first time, I got a print option by right-clicking over a page. This was using Firefox - it may well be that Adobe's Flash player is slightly different for different browsers. Adobe like right-click options though - it's always worth checking those with anything they produce. |

![]() 25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | 4407 had the new viewer with the print icon at the side of the mag so you could select any pages you wanted and print in one go.
4408 & 9 reverted to an old viewer.
4410 has the new viewer but you can only print one page at a time by zooming and then you get the option at the top, no icon at teh side
MEW sounds to have the same problem as 4410

I have nothing to do with the digital issues.
I suggest you take grievances up with the management.

![]() 25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | Can you suggest a Contact as all the links on the contact page don't seem to cover this problem,
Subscriptions takes you to a third party and does not mention digital issues, just to contact them if your mag or gift has not arrived
Or should it go to Ben the website contact?

I second the opinion of John Stevenson, the amateurish manner the digital subscriptions are handled is very close to delivering a product that is "Not fit for Purpose". I subscribe to a number of digital magazines, all of which have a superior quality to ME/MEW. The technical issues should have been ironed out before the product was offered for sale.

Geir

![]() 3357 forum posts 112 photos 10 articles | Hi There
It took me a long while to convince them to get the magazines to go digital.
Now all I get are complaints.
They are working on changing all existing magazines to the new viewer but it will take time.
There are names in the front of all MyHobbyStore magazines to write letters of complaint to.

I have no idea who is responsible for the digital issues.
I know who to complain to if it is not put online but no idea who is in charge of digital subscriptions.

![]() 165 forum posts | Hi
[QUOTE: If I forward complaints, I doubt anything will happen.
I don't think anyone is blaming David, I think we are all getting fed up with the inadequaciesof this site when any problems are either ignored (by senior management)) or changed to suit themselves rather than their customers. I will repeat something I said a while ago, there is no difference in copying a pdf file for your own use, than copying pages from a paper magazine. Also many of us will give copies of magazines to other people when we have finished with them, and the same is likely to happen with electronic versions. I doubt that anyone would make a living from selling copies on "fleabay" Someone MUST be responsible for this web site and it's contents, it should not be such a difficult job finding out who that is and being able to contact them!
