Stunning.

My friend has recently finished a 6" to the foot version in Black. I am hoping to do a video of it when we take it to winterise it soon.

A fantastic achievement. The ultimate in model engineering really.

Will you be displaying this anywhere soon for us to see in action?

Seeing that going up the road makes me wish I had started one of them and not a loco. Well done it's a beautiful job.

Most impressive, as good as it gets in my book! The video seems to show it's quick too - what sort of speed does it do on the road?

Congratulations,

Dave

Thanks for your comment. I geared it up slightly to try and keep crank speed down on the road so it does go well. I tried to work out the speed by timing the rotation of the rear wheel and knowing their diameter worked out that it was about 9.5mph. That was regulator about 1/2 open. It didn’t feel fast when on it but cranks going round at a reasonable rate so wouldn’t want to go much more on a run. Plus it’s not got the best braking technology.
