![]() 1531 forum posts 44 photos | I have received perhaps five or six of these messages (I do have a number of active email addresses) including one to an address I know has never had anything to do with Yahoo Groups. Given that they are all active email addresss, I can only assume that Yahoo are using a scatter gun approach to advise everyone. The other alternative is that since my email service (BT) was originally BT Yahoo, then that is where they have got all our email addresses. I have asked my son and he has not had any so it would seem that this may be the reason for my receipt of multiple emails. Peter G. Shaw |

![]() 6137 forum posts 893 photos | A repository for a couple of thousand years of human knowledge went down the pan because of those fools I was only on two sites, Drummond M and BB4W and the amount of stuff donated was incredible Yahoo is the reason I ceased 90% of my online posting, the net is too fickle for serious stuff |

![]() 6956 forum posts 229 photos | Ady - you do know that the Drummond group plus files is on groups.io and very active, sometimes too active. The 'forum substitutes' that are in my view really crap are the Facebook groups. No easy files access, photos etc just disappear off the bottom in a few days. Like the platform they are on most of the postings are very shallow and the posters often rather weak. I try form time to time to point them over here but I guess if it's not an app on their phone they can't understand it. |

2610 forum posts 312 photos | As a Yahoo Group Owner I still keep receiving email requests from people wanting to join the groups, I simply direct them to the iO group where the info from Yahoo was moved to. There was no reason why any information was lost if group owners acted in good time to transfer the relevant group to iO. In the early days of transfer it was FOC but because of the additional capacity required iO groups made a charge for the service. Emgee |

Hi Bazyle Agree to some extent with your statement ref Facebook but the files are easily available if you go to the Group Homepage, Files are in a separate folder. Emgee |
