I bought a new Dremel yesterday and opted for the extended warranty - so far they have sent me 18 extended warranty policies, each one a different number. I hope they arent billing me for these! If any of you work for Argos...what?????

Now at 28 and counting. Me thinks there is a tiny fault somewhere in their software!

I bought a combi microwave oven from them last year and opted for the extended warrantee, and it was printed out there and then.

Big question:

Are the extension periods concurrent or consecutive ?

It doubt if it really matters, but I was asking about the contractual duration[s] of the warranty periods, not their frequency of arrival.

It'll be the Argos cat. Felines can't resist a computer keyboard...

MichaelG - it is covered for any breakdown for three years from purchase date. I have never had one last two years (and never had extended warranty) so for £11 extra im sure I will get my monies worth. Ive now got 78 warranty policies.

I’m sure that’s true ... but what I was asking was whether you have a total of 78x3 years additional cover, or just 3 years of 78 policies running in parallel.

I would check your bank balance to see if you are being charged for each one. I don’t doubt that Argos will sort things out but it could be inconvenient if they overdraw you.

I'd imagine the latter, Michael, since the date of issue of the warranty is probably a critical factor.

If I'm right, it means fizzy can, if necessary, get 78 replacement Dremels for the current one over the next three years. I believe a normal three year Argos warranty (i.e. a single policy, not 78) ends if you need a replacement, say, 18 months after purchase, and you would need to buy an additional three year warranty with the replacement if you wanted the same protection as originally.

So now you have 78 policies...

With the same number or different numbers?

Watch you don't delete the one that applies to the contract you signed

Why does one need to buy an additional insurance based warrantee policy to cover something that the shop is legally liable for in the first place?

shop warranty 12 months, they last me about 18 months so should be worthwhile.

Ady1....all different policy numbers...here are a few more...annotation 2020-01-26 140139.jpg
