This may sound odd, but it is for a new M. E. project ... can anyone think of any more well-known frogs to ad to this list ??

These things are important in the modern world ... we must be aware of literary giants like these ... I hope someone can add a few names please ?

I forget where, a geology text-book probably, but I once saw a reference to a very early (BC?) Chinese seismometer whose ornate indicator was based on bronze frogs that dropped balls from their mouths. I don't know if the number of disgorged spheres related to the severity of the earthquake.
