It seems there is a wealth of knowledge out there which will be invaluable to helping me get started in world of model workshops.

Being in Australia, it is a little way from your doorstep. But thankfully for modern communications that distance seems a lot less.

I'm a tad overwhelmed by all your responses.

David, as far as interests go, I have a vintage car which gets me out and about. There should be a photo if it soon. Being in Sydney, I try to fit in a bit of sailing.
