Not seen one myself, I had thought that it may be in the show guide as previous years but not this time.

I only have the layout plan that hasn't got the trader's names on. There are 60 units but of course many or most traders will occupy multiple slots.

What is difficult (or perhaps we do not need to know) about MyTime supplying a list of Traders who will be there?

Those that are attending must have been listed somewhere?

If there is a need to know if a trader is going to be at the show, surely for the sake of a phone call or two,  easiest and most reliable way would be to approach them direct and ask of their intention?

No sign of Warco/Chronos/RDG.....

Although I seem to think that RDG sent me a flyer with the show details with a recent order....?

Chronos stopped going at least 6 years ago. I was in their store last year and casually said 'see you at the show again' and they pointed out how long ago it was, though it seemed like only the year before.

The reason for delay isn't sinister, it's because the people who know don't work seven days a week!

Because moderators like Jason and I do our best to help 24/7 people think we can get anything done at the drop of a hat, but please remember that the sensible people who work for MyTimeMedia etc. work equally sensible office hours.

Jason has tracked down the list (I'm kicking myself for not looking on the MEX site...), although I think it may be incomplete I doubt any other large concerns will be present. Warco don't come because they are (more or less) just down the road and Arc stopped doing shows a few years ago. I'm not sure if RDG are coming.

MyTime Media will have a stronger presence as well for the magazines.

Warco were not at Guilford this year either - which I think is the first time I've not seen them there. Great pity but I'm afraid that this is one of the (unfortunate) side effects of 'on-line' shopping. It's certainly very convenient for most of the year but not so much good when you want to look at something prior to purchase at a show...

Not to worry Neil - I've already brought my MEX tickets...

Regards,

IanT

I can't take the credit for tracking down the list, it was pointed out to me. To be honest it is a bit hard to see on the MEX site as it comes up as a small heading above the list of clubs when you go to the "Clubs & trade" tab.

Right get your shopping lists made out and ask for your pocket money!

WARCO will not be there as in there own words "We reserve September for staff holidays". I hope RDG are there as they always have a good selection of stuff.

It has been 'up' for quite a while actually but, as Jason says, it isn't too obvious although the top tab does say 'Clubs and Trade'.

I can only apologise for the MEX website. We do what we can ...

Unfortuntely no RDG this time. I think the change of date has been (as was expected) a double-edged sword so to speak. Many traders who do something almost every weekend were unable to attend this year. Let's prove that MEX would have been their best bet wink 2 and hope they come along next year (several have already said they will).

another topic that I can't see on the MEX site is arrangements for non-petrol heads who want to arrive from Weybridge station - is there any special arrangements (eg buses) or how far is the walk ?

On Friday and Saturday there is a frequent bus service - Route No. 436 - from Weybridge Station to Mercedes Benz World which is adjacent and leaves just a short walk to the Museum entrance. Unfortunately there is no bus service on a Sunday.

The walk from the station to the Museum is about 20 - 30 minutes.

If taking a taxi from the Station ask the driver to take you to Campbell Gate (Members Hill); this is a much shorter journey than to the usual public entrance (i.e. the car park) and about half the price! (Roughly £6 to £8 to Campbell Gate)

If walking you would also arrive at the Campbell Gate. From the station, walk along Brooklands Road (B374) and look for a right turn to JTI (UK). Take that turning (it's a paved road) and carry on down the Members Hill. There is a sign indicating Brooklands Museum straight on, down hill (don't take JTI to the right)

Hope this helps.

Jason - yes a map that has no distances indicated - a link to a non-Sunday bus service that could easily be overwhelmed if 20 people came off the same train - Ally Pally runs a free bus service up the hill + a very frequent London bus service - considering this is also home of a bus museum I'd have thought a little communication between parties would have been required to organise something

Brooklands will be running a bus service from car park which is equivalent to the one up the hill at Ally Pally.

As far as I know there was never any special busses for Sandown but people managed to get there.
