MEW 173 arrived by 1st post this am. Well done MHS and the Post Office. 
 
Good editorial David I wholeheartedly agree that these posts have gone on long enough and the user comments should be aimed at the correct departments leaving the forums free for model engineering concepts and problems.

Hi,
    MEW173 dropped on my doormat this morning, and for a second time a misprint on the envelope, saying MEW174.

Not a misprint.
It can't be altered so we are told.
Comes from the plans special being included in the subscription numbering about 4 1/2 years ago.

Hi,
Just for the record, I received ME   4393 two days ago, long after I had finished reading issues 4392 and 4391 without realising one issue was missing!  Clearly my senior moments are well and truly here or perhaps I am more patient than some!

4391 and 4392 were sent out before 4393 so you would have read them first.

Assuming that whitby is in the UK,can someone please tell me how I managed to get ME #4393 just before he did?I am about 3500 miles further on!

Yes a double senior moment! What I meant was ME 4393 arrived after 4394 and 4395.
And yes to Neil smith I am in the UK but you all probably think I am in Cloud Cuckoo land by now.

MEW 172 has finally turned up here in NE Hants after all its bad weather problems!! 
 
I now await MEW173 which is only 4 days late already ( for a change ).

I know it doesn't directly affect ME or MEW but I've received a Christmas card this morning - and from within this country,not opverseas - now trying to work out if it's late or VERY early. Suggests that this time it is the "messengers" turn to be shot rather than the sender. Looks as though Royal Mail still has some problems to deal with.

I can confirm that Royal Mail are still having serious difficulties, especially in central Scotland. They were out delivering parcels yesterday - yes, SUNDAY!!

Still waiting for ME 4394 ??? 4395 and 4396 have arrived.
My collection runs from 1904, I do not want to have a gap.
Office says I may/maynot get one
