I'm going on the Saturday on my own ticket, well nearly.
ARC has donated a X1L with stand and goodies for best newcomer in class  ( or something similar ) and I'm delivering it.

Be nice for once to have a leisurely walk round, look at goodies and have a natter without having to deal with tight arsed punters.

Sooner than carry shed loads of gear round in my 14 gauge armoured rucksack  and upset Ian I'll be based some of the time on Lester Caines stand, Model Engineers Digital Workshop which in  Hall 2

Now I know many of you owe me a drink or 5 but remember I have to drive back and the Donald only knows it's own way from Sheffield south.

Hi John, I agree with the majority that it is a really good show, I’ve been going to it for several years now but I don’t have a grey or any other coloured beard, bulletproof vest or a rucksack. I am also going on Saturday and have a 150 mile trek and probably won’t get there until midday when most of the big crowds are starting to go home with their rucksacks and long bits of metal. If you really want something in particular it is best to contact the supplier/s you have in mind in advance as they will usually reserve it for you, but you must do that ASAP (like yesterday) it may be too late already, but there is no harm in enquiring. Have an enjoyable day all whichever day/s you are going.

Nick.

Seriously considered wearing an avatar of "Cyril" for those old enough (or young enough like Sir John) to remember. Haven't decided yet, as although it's hard to belive, there are those who would rather shake my neck than hand, anyroad, pink carnations are DEFINATELY out.

Should be an oasis of tranquility after all the garbage being rammed down our throats for the last few months and despite their best efforts, NONE of the three stooges should have been able to cast gloom over THE best gathering in the UK.

One of the problems of striking your colours BEFORE the show is that the border patrols will have been alerted in certain areas and names entered into Zee book,(Beware Herr Coates), so given that we make the best Ale in Britain, by the addition of certain "Extras", Yorkshire puddings can be modified to form fomidable weapons, where do you think the Japanese copied their Shurikins from? Far Eastern forgeries have been going on for FAR longer than some imagine. Forget yer Black puddin' Lancastrians, NO CONTEST and the Saddleworth fortifications can be swung into operation at the drop of a flat 'at.

  Regards  Ian

One and all

Having had a quick reccy this evening- IT'S GOING TO BE A GOOD 'UN !!!!!!

Julie

Define "odd" ?

' Cos most of our lot ( at least those wearing the necessary supporting garments ) have bumps in very strange places ( I can say that from a medical view point).

I believe the term is "eating mans goitre" or beer gut ? MOOBS is another term I have heard.

Dave- try warming the key hole first.

Mr Chrisp seemed very chirpy this evening, lets see what effect the local ale has overnight!

Chris and Circlip- let the poor bloke alone. You should regard his pilgramage as a chance to educate and inform the uninstrcuted ( or should that be institutionalised ).

Must go Matron's noticed I'm out!!!
See you Saturday ? Sunday guys ( lumpy orotherwise)
Ian

Either that or say it was all on sale and very cheap, bit like the wife does when she's been to the sales.

Anyone noticed that the "smileys" are called emotions on here? I like it, sounds much better than emoticons!

Well my first Harrogate show was a very enjoyable visit. Loved rummaging through boxes looking for bargains and found a few. Got most items on my shopping list and wished I had bought more steel stock. Very friendly atmosphere and advice from stall holders

Can't wait for next year. Next trip to Leicester to visit son at Uni will have to include a drop in to the Arc Euro Trade  shop

Didn't meet anyone from here but there was another guy in a Kawasaki fleece the same as mine so maybe you all harassed him
