You must also remember that "America" is not a country either. 50 states plus Costa Rica and Washington DC... Approximately. Neil |

And then we have the Six Nations Rugby championship, which is played by England, France, Ireland, Italy and Scotland. The UK province of Northern Ireland/Ulster is part of Ireland/Eire for these purposes... And Wales Mike Oops, Sorry! It wasn't intentional. |

Maybe you were thinking of Puerto Rico, which is an "Unincorporated US Territory". The continent that the USA, Canada and Mexico are on is commonly called North America. |

Australia is a country and a continent with no pesky land borders.
Except at state of origin time where there is a definate demarcation zone between NSW & QLD |

![]() 7881 forum posts 397 photos | And yes, at Origin time, south of the border people up here in QLD are referred to as Mexicans -- so we're not even sure which continent we're on, let alone which country. And let's not forget that despite being one country (or was it continent?) Australia still does not have a common-gauge railway running from one end of the country to the other. Still running a mish-mash of narrow, standard and broad gauges in various states. |

This is due to trying to keep all the morons who live and work there inside the fence LOL. They do enough damage from within letting them out only causes further damage. |
