Thread: Ultra Miniature 3V E10 Indicator Light Bulb Needed |
06/09/2018 10:06:29 |
Hi All, Have tried everywhere to find one of these tiny bulbs: The diameter of the screw part is 5.25mm; the length of the bottom metal part is 9mm from the rim to the bottom contact; runs off 2 AA cells. It is for the indicator lamp on an old torque wrench tool. Tried RS, FARNELL etc but no go, any thoughts please? Cheers, Martin |

John MC. is that the small dial with the discoloured cover? Andrew Tinsley, You could try 15.9650° S, 5.7089° W Thanks folks for the info, the Boxford item seems very well made indeed and in great condition. Regards, Martin You must get up early on Sunday morning to get down there. Mike.
Mike, as it is quite a long swim I start the week before! The main problem is the swim back with all that metal so I have a very, very long snorkel... Seriously though we do work hard at getting all over to these car boots and find that the effort is rewarded. We do think however that it is a fallacy that you have to be at these car boots at crack of dawn as often when we are leaving after a pretty bad look round we see someone just taking a box out of their vehicle and Bingo!, it turns out to be right up our street. You get to be good at spotting the stalls that are never any good, lots of 'pink' usually means don't bother but you really can never tell. Cheers, Martin |

Hi All, Good day yesterday at our local large boot sale, got these items, one of which I am not sure of its exact purpose so any help would be great. Pretty sure that the Ackworthie is a tapping accessory but have never seen the BOXFORD item before and have no idea of hat the MATRIX item was used for.. Cheers, Martin |

Brian & Howard, Thanks so very much! Of no use to me so onto that auction site! Cheers, Martin
Have you considered that it could be converted to a hand tapping machine ?
Mike E, That did occur to me but it came with another smaller similar item that I might well convert to a tapping machine. (IF I ever have the time...) Howard, sadly I have absolutely no way of making sure it goes to a 'good' home. Ronan: because we sell our items on EBay by way of a (very small!) commercial enterprise it is against the policy on here to use the personal classified ads which I completely understand. We do not have enough volume to afford a business ad and a lot of what we sell is more woodwork or general collectable related than engineering, mainly planes etc and so on. Cheers, Martin

Richard S2, That is a REALLY nice and very desirable oiler, well done sir, a great find. I have only ever had 2 of these and they did VERY well, both went to Australia. There are several other nice designs of 'tea pot ' oil cans, but very hard to find. I have periodic bouts of 'end and cap' making sessions for the many oilers we get. Ther are a surprising number of different theads to deal with. I keep meaning to make notes as I do them but always in a hurry! Cheers, Martin |
Thread: Correct name for this item please? |

Hi All, Got this today at my local car boot along with a lot of other instrumentation. To avoid mis describing it when I list it could someone please tell me the correct name for this nice item. I THINK it is a Comparator Table for checking heights etc but do not want to get it wrong. Regards, Martin

Hi All, just looked up my records and we have had exactly 6 of these over the years in various sorts of condition and the prices varied from £72 to £165 for the best one. They always seem popular for what ever reason and we have never had bad feedback or a problem with any of them. Just my 2p's worth....... Cheers, Martin |

Hi Brian, It is a portable way of allowing local anaethstetic to be administered, i guess by dropping it on a mask over the patients nose & mouth. I do not think it could last very long as it evaporates so fast? PS whats a drench tool? Cheers, Martin |

Michael, FWIW this came in the bottom of a box of grubby scrap spanners! Wrapped in an old copy of a French newspaper! Martin |

Martin, What an interesting device ! After drawing blanks on various translation tools, and on google ... I tried searching with DuckDuckGo, and would recommend that you do the same. MichaelG. . Edited By Michael Gilligan on 10/08/2018 11:23:39 Michael. many thanks indeed, lots of info there including an exactly similar photo. Seems there were several different sorts of this device, i liked the one with different ends/nozzles. Cheers, Martin |

Hi all, Have had this for some time but had no luck finding out what it is for. it came from a French vide grenier last year and is very well made as can be seen. I thought it was for some sort anethstetic use as it has "CHLORETYLE BENGUE' alng with the usual Brevette SGDG marks. However there is no venting hole or vavle to the top, it just comes straight off so all contents would be gone in a flash? Any thoughts are most welcome. Cheers, Martin |
