4 forum posts | Hello all, My name is James and I have taken up model engineering in the last two years, fitting it in as I can around kids and work. My main interest is in steam locos, I presently have a 5 inch gauge A4 which requires a fair bit if TLC but suits my needs. I also work on and off on my fathers locos. Presently in the process of acquiring a few small bits of workshop equipment so that I can work from home on my project. Look forward to chatting to others and getting a few tips and pointers from here. James |

4 forum posts | Hi all, I'm from Andover to be exact. Presently my machinery is not a lot as most of it is tools, welding gear, compressors and the such like. I have access to lathes, drills and a mill which I use on and off. Looking for a lathe presently which a lot of members have given me very helpful advice on. A lot of work I do (for enjoyment) is fabrication and after inheriting a loco which needs some TLC I'd like to do it myself and improve my somewhat agricultural machining skill set. |
