Hi All,

Have tried everywhere to find one of these tiny bulbs:

The diameter of the screw part is 5.25mm; the length of the bottom metal part is 9mm from the rim to the bottom contact; runs off 2 AA cells.

It is for the indicator lamp on an old torque wrench tool.

Tried RS, FARNELL etc but no go, any thoughts please?

Cheers, Martin

If really stuck for a solution then diagnostic set bulbs from the like of heine or welch allyn might be adaptable since their screw end is generally smaller than the bulb base.

Hi Martin,

That bulb sounds like the old Christmas tree light string bulb !

Since you have the old bulb, why not just pop a LED into the old base. You might need a resistor to current limit for the LED. If I remember correctly, a Yellow LED is about 3 volts.

You might find what you need at "Rapid Electronics", they have a fair selection.

Just search for E10 MES lamps.

I think you are looking for an E5 LES type

Similar to **LINK**

But that's a 6 volt one - it would still work though.
