Bob,

I think is is a bit of both ... The site for not obaying Microsoft Standards ... and Microsoft for imposing its own standards.

They are not Microsoft standards. Microsoft is just one member of the World Wide Web Consortium which is constantly developing the standards for web pages. Unfortunately Microsoft doesn't always follow the standards they help to write sad

Hello Bob (Packmule).
To create a new line you can use simultaneously the Shift key and the Return Key.
If you use the Return key alone you insert also a new empty line.
If you want to create an empty line just do Shift+Return tywice.

Best regards

Has the forum site been improved, The RETURN key now works on Apple Mac "Mojave" instead of using Shift Return.

Yes.

As for teh earlier question Microsoft or ME... Microsoft didn't add a compatibility button because their browser doesn't work with this website, it was because it doesn't work with thousands of websites. Nuff said?

Bob... Always had to do the same on this forum, raised the question with moderators last year but never really got to the bottom of it. Still have to use the same method as Dias above. never have any probs on any other forum.

George.

Return now gives a single line spacing in IOS12 that’s a great improvement,  it always used to give double line spacing.
