When going into the forum messages, I seem to loose the right hand part of the message due to the 'Support Our Partners' banner down the right hand side that obscures the message uinderneath.

is there anything that I can do to stop this, it is very annoying only being able to read half a message.

I am using windows XP(sp3) and IE8

many thanks in anticipation

Howard

Howard, there is an ongoing discussion on the thread "Deleting adverts so that posts can be read" It is not a problem I suffer from very much, but others do.

I'm using XP and SP3  and IE8 - Tools menu/Compatibility view will solve your problem.

Hmm, can someone tell me what 'compatibility mode' in IE does, so I can ecentually find a similar mode in Opera and Firefox (that's what I use here, sorry no m$oft sw frown.)

I use SeaMonkey and don't appear to have any problems.

Hi

Alternatively go into the 'Tools' on the menu bar for IE and then open the 'Compatibility View Settings' and then either click on the 'Display All Websites in Compatibility View' or add the sites you have problems with to the site list using the 'Add Sites' function. When 'All sites' is activated the Compatibility button on the IE tool bar vanishes.

The problem I have in setting up specific sites in the list is that when I leave IE most things are reset and I lose the list, part of the security system purge I think blush.

All sites works for me without having to click on tool bars for problemt sites.

Cheers

Mertin
