| 883 forum posts 11 photos | Just my guess but the thread seemed to be going into idle speculation as to whether another unrelated (named) company would be next - NOT a very clever thing to do. That's whats starts rumours, that when acted on, cause the the very thing that was being speculated about. The business climate at the moment is bad enough without un-informed speculative gossip causing more headaches for proprietors. Keith You beat me to it David - hear, hear!! I've never owned a Myford but from a distance I appreciated the quality, customer service and no little contribution Myfords made to model engineering. | 1049 forum posts 1 photos | As my last post has been censored, might I suggest then that anyone thinking of going to Myford's sell off should phone first to check before wasting a journey. I don't think that saving members time is something that needs to be withheld from public knowledge!

This may or may not have been the gist of Chris Stephens post but I echo his sentiments as I was one of those who was contemplating a long drive to buy some spares for my machine. Bob |

It does look like some of the spares have been sold.
There will be spares there as well as lots of machines.
No point phoning Myford as they don't know what is left.
There are still new machines available and lots of reconditioned ones as well.

It would be incredibly helpful to the rest of us if you would get there early and let us know the state of play re spares - unless anyone else can confirm the RDG angle and so save us all a trip.
