24 forum posts | Hi I'm popping over from the good woodworking forum as I have some brass stock that I thought MEW members might be more interested in. The two forums are quite different however and I'm struggling to find where to list items/materials for sale. Can someone point me in the right direction? Theres a classified section but I can't see a post button.
Cheers

24 forum posts | I am logged in and have checked the classified button but there's no button within that to add a listing or advertise anything. In addition it's not tools or books, just small stock so there doesn't seem to ba a section for it unless it goes in miscellaneous??? |

24 forum posts | Great thanks I think I've found it. Just need an idea of price. Its a mixed bag of brass stock, all small stuff ranging from 4mm to about 25mm wide flat stock, 5mm or there abouts round stock. All these are 2 feet plus long. Theres also a piece of solid round bar about 1 inch by 10 inches long. Any idea roughly what I should be asking for it? It's not really woodworking materials so I'm a bit lost.
Thanks in advance
Dominic

![]() 1946 forum posts 179 photos | Hi Dominic, How much does it weigh, the price of most metals are determined by weight. An approximation using bathroom scales would give some idea. Any local non ferrous scrap dealer will give you an up to date price by phone which will give you a guide, then decide on whatever price you think fair. 24 forum posts | Thanks for that. I've totted up the prices on the abov site and it comes to about £72. Scrap value is about £20 so would £35 plus shipping seem about right? |
