Hi There
The price fields on the classified adverts (both for sale and wanted) are numeric fields.

This means that all you can enter are numbers.

3000
will work

3,000
will not work

3000 ONO
will not work.

Stick to round pounds and no pence and no other characters in the field and you should have no problems.
regards David

Hi David,
Not sure if this is correct place to contact you about my problem:
Click on "More For Sale Adverts" and up comes a list with blue lettering in Product column is over-printed on another line, also these lists extend to left, obscuring items in the date column and to the right, obscuring items in the Contact Name column.
Same prob. exists to a lesser extent in the "More Wanteds"
Can you please correct this? Many Thanks,
John.

Hi There
I have checked and the pages are fine.
I suggest a browser problem might be to blame.
Try refreshing the browser.
I think that is F5.

Try clearing the browser cache and cookies, you may be running out of memory reserved for storing web pages, which can cause problems with them loading.

David - sort of on topic for the original post - I have asked on a separate thread how to cancel an advert. We discussed this a while back and a test attempt worked fine but not now!! I don't have a 'My Advert' section on my account. Could you cancel my advert for me, please or can you advise how to do so. The item has now been sold.
Rgds

Bingo! What "RJW" said @ 15.42 today about running out of memory. Every time someone posts a link to another site, I click on it then add it to my favourites in yahoo, with the intention of looking at that site later. I often keep these interesting things like Chris Heapys tips and so on, resulting in an enormous favourites file. I bet this is what is now causing my problem. I will try moving the lot to a folder. In the search bar right at top of page, if I type in say,`g`, I get a drop down box containing umpteen items previously viewed which can be removed by going in to tools and deleting but a number of items remain. These only disappear if the corresponding item is deleted from the favourites.
Will try to sort this out and report back as to whether it resolves the problem.

To fix the formatting of the clasified adds page when using internet explorer 8 go into:

Tools
Compatability View settings

If the box for " Display all websites in compatability view" has a tick remove this
and it should fix the clasified adds page.

This fixed mine

I am getting the same problems as John, is it only two of us? Running windows 7,
no other problems other than the adverts are printing on top of each other. Have tried the compatability dodge as above but no avail. cheers, Nick.
